Comments about Union Square Union Square Lafayette Twin over Twin Bunk Bed:

We bought this bunk bed for two of our boys and are very pleased with the set. The design is simple and fits easily with our other furniture. The quality is quite good and assembly was reasonably easy. We researched a number of products in person and on-line. This was by far the best price without having to give in on quality. The only draw back is the lack of support offered by the wooden slats. We added 1/4 inch plywood instead of bunky boards. Works great and is less expensive than bunky boards. [...] I would definately recommend this product to a friend.

Number of mattress slats are insufficient. I added a 5/8" plywood board to provide support to the mattresses.

Our 5 year old sleeps soo good on this bed. This is all he has wanted for almost a year. Now he can be a big boy and have friends for a sleepover. The price is reasnable, consruction is good. However it needs either more mattress support slats or some addiotioal thin boards to line the bottom of the mattress. [...]

Comments about Union Square Union Square Lafayette Twin over Twin Bunk Bed:

We ordered these bunk beds because of the great price and free shipping. We were not disappointed. They arrived quickly (on a Saturday even) and were easy to assemble. They are plenty sturdy and our son loves them. The guard rails are great on the top bunk and the ladder is removable or can be screwed in. The wood is good quality and a beautiful color. We highly recommend this product and company.

Plan on beefing up support for mattresses. Either additional slats or plywood (we added both).

Comments about Union Square Union Square Lafayette Twin over Twin Bunk Bed:

My children are 2 & 4 and I was a little skeptical on how they were going to make out with them. I was especially worried about my 2 year old trying to climb up the ladder. The main plus about these beds is the fact that the ladder is easily removable. It allows me to remove it during the day so she can't climb up. Also it is nice that the ladder is on an incline and not at a 90 degree angle. This is easier for my 4 year old to get up in the bed without being scared. Great product! I was impressed by what a good deal I got on them.

Service & Delivery comments:

The bunk beds were delivered within the exact time frame they gave me when I placed my order. This company emailed me throughout to update me on the shipping of the product, as well as, to see how I made out with the actual bunk bed when I got it. The fact that there was free shipping was awesome, but I also got them very quickly.

Comments about Union Square Union Square Lafayette Twin over Twin Bunk Bed:

Bed design is perfect for kids and will last a while as they grow. [...] Went together easily and kids even joined in to help. Only disappointment was that the bed is made of particle board with pine surface. Seems solid, but be careful over tightening bolts. I actually had a very similar design using redwood and pine which would have cost 2X as much not even counting time to build. Returned the wood so wife happier. Overall, good price for product.

Comments about Union Square Union Square Lafayette Twin over Twin Bunk Bed:

[...]The fact that they do not have to be used as bunkbeds but as 2 seperate beds was a huge reason I purchased them. I have 2 kids a boy and a girl and I was looking for 2 beds that were affordable and sturdy. These were it, but when the bunkbeds arrived one of the footboards looked like a cat got a hold of it. It is all scratched up. Luckily, I had some furniture pens that helped lighten the scrathches. I would recommend this product to others But I would also recommend that the factory checks all of their products before sending them out.

Comments about Union Square Union Square Lafayette Twin over Twin Bunk Bed:

For the price, this bunkbed set is a good value. The setup was easy and required very few tools. We did end up putting a piece of plywood on top of the slats because our kids sleep on futon mattresses which had threatened to sink through the spaces between the slats. Other than that, the construction appears sturdy and the set has held up well for the last month of use.

Comments about Union Square Union Square Lafayette Twin over Twin Bunk Bed:

We like that is separates to individual twin beds too! It's versatile to use now when they are smaller and can convert back to a bunk set once our girls are older. Sturdy construction.

We don't care for the slat board support, but we bought "bunkie" boards from a local mattress company and they work great for extra firm support.

Service & Delivery comments:

The beds arrived 2 weeks before the estimated ship date. The Free INSIDE delivery wasn't completely true - we were not home at the time UPS delivered, and they left the boxes on the front porch.
